After a few days of calm the Chilean volcano threw ash again

The Chilean volcano Calbuco intensified its activity after having been calm in recent days, by the expulsion of ash to a height of 2,500 meters towards the Argentine territory.

Calbuco, which erupted last week forced the Chilean authorities to start evacuation plans, some people who had temporarily entered the exclusion zone to feed animals and clean their houses had been covered with ashes.

The massif is located in the tourist region of Los Lagos, about 900 kilometers south of Santiago.
